Social Networking seems to be all "the rage" of the current Web 2.0 revolution. How can I have my stuff and let other people know about what I like? or something like that. This is obvious in sites like Digg, del.icio.us, MySpace, PodShow, and a host of other Web 2.0 sites. So this got me thinking when I see reviews and feature lists for the Zune, its all about WiFi.
Lets face it we're completely reliant on the web for one thing or another, so why can't our media player exist in the same way. Creation of "Zune Meshes" for lack of a better expression will add Social Networking to your life but in more of a real way with real people.... honestly, and it has no requirement of a password or special user name, you can just use your real name, but if you care to still be referred to as the DarkLooord93, or PwrGrrrrl74 be my guest, but your mesh may only consist of you and the rest of your WoW guild.
Although there are restrictions on the WiFi to protect copyrighted material in the form of 3 day 3 play, it is still a far better alternative than one proposed by Steve Jobs (one word... ewww).
So be sterile, be safe, and just be kind to those around you and share, who knows maybe the next time you sync with someone to share some "Can't Get Enough" by Barry White, you'll find a soul mate, or someone else lonely enough to be sharing Barry White. As for me I'll be sharing the Groove Armada.
NOTE: MySpace reminds me of a dead deer carcass on the side of the road, bloated, messy, and unorganized. So be kind, let it decompose in peace.
